Clifton Suspension Bridge Clifton Suspension Bridge
The Clifton Suspension Bridge's spectacular setting on the cliffs of the Avon Gorge has made it the defining symbol of Bristol, drawing thousands of visitors a year just to stroll across for views of the ancient Avon Gorge, elegant Clifton and the magnificent city beyond.
Designed by the great Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, although he never lived to see his creation finished in 1864. Iit is a grade I listed building.

Bristol Zoo is an amazing world of animals, all set within award winning 12 acre gardens. With over 450 species of exotic, endangered and just plain cute animals from the four corners of the globe. Built and launched in Bristol in 1843, Isambard Kingdom Brunel's maritime masterpiece was the world's first ocean-going, propeller driven iron ship. After a life as a luxury liner, troop ship, cargo vessel and floating warehouse, she was abandoned in the Falklands Islands in 1937. She was salvaged in 1970, towed back to Bristol and has now been restored to her former glory.

Bristol Cathedral Avon Valley Railway
The Avon Valley Railway is more than just a train ride, offering a whole new experience for some or a nostalgic memory for others. It's a real treat for the whole family. The Avon Valley Railway steam trains run right to the edge of the scenic Avon Valley, providing spectacular views.
